Jin Ki Joo and Lee Jang Woo may be appearing in a new weekend drama!
On April 8, Ilgan Sports reported that Jin Ki Joo and Lee Jang Woo would be starring in KBS 2TV’s upcoming weekend drama “Lovers of Samkwang Villa” (literal title).
The actors’ agencies FL Entertainment and Hunus Entertainment stated that that both actors had received casting offers and were reviewing them.
“Lovers of Samkwang Villa” tells the story of the various people who gather at the apartment called Samkwang Villa. The drama will show how these people who started off as strangers begin to open up their hearts and love one another. The story conveys the message that no matter how tough the world gets, the warm seed of love still exists in human relationships and will always be priceless. Along with Jin Ki Joo and Lee Jang Woo, Jeon In Hwa and Hwang Shin Hye have also received offers for the drama.
Jin Ki Joo was offered the role of Lee Bit Chae Woon, a hot-tempered, ambitious, and perseverant installer at an interior design shop. She’s always wary of her surroundings because she has always had to care for her mother from a young age. Her final goal is to become a textile designer.
On the other hand, Lee Jang Woo is in talks to play the role of architect Woo Jae Hee. He’s a straightforward man who easily gets angry, and at the same time, he’s described as handsome, smart, and so overly confident that he is often seen as arrogant. He often becomes the biter bit, but he skillfully gets himself out of these situations by pretending it was all planned from the beginning. At work, he is extremely sensitive about small details.
Director Hong Seok Goo of “Golden Cross,” “Perfect Wife,” and “My Only One” and screenwriter Yoon Kyung Ah of “Brain,” “All about My Mom,” and “Moments of 18” will be teaming up for “Lovers of Samkwang Villa,” which is scheduled to air in September as the follow-up to “Once Again.”
