According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of KBS’s “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” recorded average nationwide ratings of 1.9% and 2.6%. “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” is a rom-com starring Go Ara and Lee Jae Wook as a pianist and part-time worker who meet at a piano academy in a small countryside village.
JTBC’s “Private Lives,” another drama that premiered on October 7, recorded average nationwide ratings of 2.522%. This is about the same as “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol,” although it should be noted that JTBC is a cable channel and ratings can differ in meaning between public broadcast and cable channels. “Private Lives” stars Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and Go Kyung Pyo in a drama about con artists who mobilize their skills to steal the nation’s “private life.”
On tvN, “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” made its premiere to average nationwide ratings of 5.804%. Its predecessor in this time slot, “Flower of Evil,” was a ratings hit for the cable channel, reaching a personal best of 5.7% with its final episode. “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” therefore made a strong start by topping that mark with its very first episode.
On MBC, “When I Was the Most Beautiful” recorded ratings of 2.6% and 3.2%, a small decrease from last week.
Meanwhile, on SBS, which does not currently air dramas in this time slot, the reality show “K-Trot in Town 2” led the ratings pack with 12.4%.
Despite having a relatively good record when it debuted last night, rating of "Tale Of The Nine-Tailed" still lower than 2 drama of tvN's most recent aired films, "Record of Youth" with starred with Park Bo Gum rating 6.4% in episode 1 and "Stranger 2" with the rating in episode 1 is 7.6%.
