The Uncanny Counter
On February 17, two new dramas premiered in the Wednesday-Thursday evening time slot.
JTBC’s “Sisyphus: The Myth” stars Cho Seung Woo as a genius engineer who attempts to bring light to hidden beings that are secretly residing in our world and Park Shin Hye as his savior from the future, which has fallen into ruin due to war.
KBS’s “Hello, Me!” stars Choi Kang Hee as a 37-year-old woman who has fallen in a slump in both work and love when she is suddenly visited by her 17-year-old self (Lee Re), who was full of passion and unafraid to take on the world.
According to Nielsen Korea, the premiere episode of “Sisyphus: The Myth” recorded average nationwide ratings of 5.608 percent. This is higher than the personal best ratings of its predecessor in this time slot, “Run On,” which was 3.772 percent.
The premiere episode of “Hello, Me!” recorded average nationwide ratings of 3.8 and 4.9 percent. This is not far from the premiere ratings of its predecessor in this time slot, “Cheat on Me If You Can,” which started off with promising ratings in the 5 percent range but struggled to maintain its lead.
