Watch: Yoon Shi Yoon And Kyung Soo Jin Take On A Mystery In Parallel Universes For Upcoming Sci-Fi Thriller “Train”
Jul 8, 2020
OCN’s upcoming weekend drama “Train” has released a highlight clip of what’s to come!
Described as a “parallel universe mystery drama,” “Train” is a sci-fi thriller about a single choice made on the night of a murder that splits the world into two alternate universes.
Yoon Shi Yoon stars as Seo Do Won, a police officer on the path of atonement in universe “A” and a police officer who has chosen the path of corruption in universe “B.” Kyung Soo Jin co-stars as Han Seo Kyung, an honest, straight-talking prosecutor in universe “A” and a cold, emotionless detective in universe “B.” She searches for the truth after finding out about the death of her father.
In the highlight clip, Seo Do Won and Han Seo Kyung meet through a tragic event 12 years ago as high school students. After young Han Seo Kyung thanks young Seo Do Won for saving her, Seo Do Won tells her, “I found a reason. A reason to live.”
Then, the clip transitions to the action-packed present, with the text reading, “12 years ago on that day, everything changed.” Present-day Seo Do Won gets involved in a car chase and ends up entering an abandoned train station in Mookyung to discover a skeleton on the ground. He begins to suspect that a serial killer must be on the loose.
The two universes depict different landscapes, and fast-paced scenes that show an incoming train, a shocked Seo Do Won, the dead bodies, and someone holding a gun only add to the drama. Seo Do Won says in a voice-over, “This is clearly neither a dream nor a hallucination. A living person is dead, and a dead person is alive.”
Seo Do Won and Han Seo Kyung begin to meet in the two universes as detectives. Han Seo Kyung involves herself in the murder case at Mookyung Station from 12 years ago and looks for clues about the incident. The clip previews Han Seo Kyung from both universes “A” and “B” taking on the same mystery.
Then, Seo Do Won desperately looks for Han Seo Kyung until he is suddenly attacked. The video cuts to a clock that mysteriously reads 9:35 and shows the characters’ differences from each universe.
The drama’s production team commented, “In the five-minute highlight clip, we wanted to unveil a secret from ‘Train’ through a story that we haven’t revealed yet. We hope you have fun figuring out the meanings behind the clues we secretly portrayed and the relationship between Seo Do Won and Han Seo Kyung by watching the episodes.”
