OCN’s upcoming drama “Search” has confirmed more members of its cast!
Back in January, OCN announced that f(x)’s Krystal, Jang Dong Yoon, and Moon Jung Hee would be starring in an upcoming military drama titled “Search.” On February 13, it was revealed that Yoon Park and Lee Hyun Wook had also joined the main cast.
“Search” is a military thriller set against the backdrop of the DMZ (demilitarized zone). After mysterious disappearances and deaths start to happen at the front line of the demilitarized border, a search party is formed to investigate what is going on.
Jang Dong Yoon will be playing Yong Dong Jin, a military dog handler who is counting down the days until his discharge when he is unexpectedly chosen as the member of a search party. Krystal will be playing Son Ye Rim, a lieutenant who is assigned as the special officer in charge of investigating the mysterious incidents that occur in the demilitarized zone.
Moon Jung Hee will be playing Kim Da Jung, a reservist who was once the head of the special forces team in charge of counterterrorism and now works as a tour guide at the DMZ Memorial Hall. She wants to live a quiet life with her family near the civilian control line, but unexpectedly receives an offer to join the search party.
Yoon Park has been cast in the role of Song Min Kyu, an elite officer who is the first to volunteer to be the search party’s leader. However, he is the type of leader who cannot be controlled even by his superiors and often puts his team in danger.
Lee Hyun Wook has been cast in the role of Lee Joon Sung, the deputy team leader. He has the mind of a true soldier and occasionally comes into conflict with Song Min Kyu, his team leader, as extreme situations begin to develop.
“Search” will air sometime in the second half of this year.
